Optics are largely about getting enough light on the subject to see details clearly. This can be particularly difficult when using hand lenses in the field: the small lenses of jeweler’s loupes (hand lenses) do not provide much light on the subject and often you’re in a forested environment or the sun is not bright. The LED lighted jeweler’s loupes solves this problem without adding much to the size or weight of the hand lens. This dual powered illuminated jeweler’s loupe is quite unusual in that it features a very high magnification 20x lens as well as a 10x lens. Each lens has its own LED light which illuminates the subject perfectly. The 10x lens is 18 mm in diameter and the 20x lens is 9 mm in diameter. The body of the magnifier is plastic while the outer shell is aluminum. Each hand lens comes packed in a acrylic case with a small tool to remove the battery case. The LED lights Uses 3 AG10 batteries. Batteries are included. This is a lower cost doublet lens and while the view is impressively clear at 20x magnification observing with it for a long time may be not particularly comfortable.
