The glass lens is securely welded into the frame so these magnifiers are perfect for classroom use. The 2 1/2″ diameter lens has a higher than 3x magnification lens which is powerful enough for botany and insects yet still has a large field of view. Please note: Recently the manufacturer has relabeled most of their magnifiers. The 3.3x were previously labeled 5x magnification.
